10.04.13 *subject Part 1: How artists fetch inspiration from within themselves, some examples of different artists.

– Fausto Gracia, Mexico
– Cathrine Gilje, Stavanger:
The hospital The body and its movements in time and space is the theme I have researched through different techniques. To me the art process is like a metamorphosis where the evolution in the physical world is a reflection on the spiritual world and our state of mind. What is temporary and unfinished and is about to manifest itself inspires me.
– Pal Kos,  California
Make fire with ice.
Kos is attracted by the integrity of materials, and in finding a place where material, play, chance and meaning can magically come together.[2] For Kos, manipulation and participation are fundamental to art.” “I trust accidents more than ideas I can come up with sitting at my desk. I gather materials and I gather concepts, but I wait for some little click to make it coalesce into the real piece, which is often an accident. This was a pivotal work for me.”
– Agnes BTffn: France/Norway:
IMPRINT  clubs, daggers, broadswords

– Student research for next time; work in groups or individually:
Choose an artist you wish to present and think about their own inspiration and prepare a short presentation for next time.
